Having the dimensioned drawing to give to the person making it is more likely to lead to success than a pretty picture.

If you can cut it with snips it'll bend/twist when you try to use it.

Just like the one that comes with the Honda tensioner. It will give it a more original feel

Can you just copy it onto stiff cardboard and use that?

I think the ones that come from Honda are about 1mm thick and that is too thin. They do the job once but after that they are a bit twisted.
