WTF eBay

Post by VTRDark »

Are these ebay sellers morons or what. Or are they just trying luck. These carbs have been on and off ebay for the last 6 months.

Genuine Honda carbs incl good choke cable and a throttle cable with no nipple. TPS is on carbs. Bargain

I bought a clutch mc / res off one... The picture was the right part....
They sent a brake mc.
Then told me it was the same part on both sides....

After sending them pics and explaining it will only fit if it is upside down with the lever on the inside they finally conceded they may have made a slight error!
You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.

:Wall: :Wall:

I wonder how many people make the mistake of purchasing something that is way over priced.

Benny that is just too funny, these people must have no brain-cells. You could have always put the lever on the inside.

Soon, to get a K+N, buy a VTR1000 with one already fitted, and leave the rest for spares. It'll be cheaper....
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I emailed the seller got a reply.

Hi

HEY ! - I do have a Porsche and a holiday home to pay for :-)

Seriously though, alas the rear tyre (170/60ZR17) is on a BIG back-order situation with the Factory, Michelin UK does not have a date for production which usually means at LEAST 4 weeks before we will see any and as we ALWAYS stock everything we list we have inflated the price a tad to stop people buying them as we can't supply (this way we do not have to end the listing and lose all the sales data)

Obviously as soon as they are available again we will return the price to normal.

Everything else we have listed in these sizes (and a LOT more we hold in-stock that is not listed on eBay) is available for sale and delivery as usual should you be interested in a different make or pattern of tyre.

Best Regards

Lee

Now that's makes sense from their point of view, But not the ones looking to buy  Wouldn't that be false advertising. Are there any advertising laws/rules on the web/eBay
