I'd recommend it to be honest, that's what I use and it's really useful. Just have to make sure the brightness on my phone is on full though is the only disadvantage.. You could always run earphones into your helmet too?

I use this (photo taken from amazon cause I'm a lazy bugger) it even has an empty section at the bottom to fit a charging cable in, so I don't run out of battery.. Well I shouldn't, it's happened twice cause the cable broke for some reason

There should be one for most phones/satnavs if you look thoroughly enough bsm  if not, get an iphone 4 with the tomtom app and a bike mount like that. It's so nice as it's so far out of your view it isn't distracting but it's not dangerous looking at it quickly either

OK folks Keihin Jets.
You can get the sizes from here.

Main jets
OVERALL LENGTH = 8mm
HEAD DIAMETER = 6mm
THREAD DIAMETER = 4.9

Pilots
OVERALL LENGTH = 28mm
THREAD DIAMETER = 5.9mm

And on ebay UK seller for mains. 180, 182, or 185 would be a popular size required, you already have a 175 and 178 in carbs already that can be used.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRASS-MAIN-JE ... 3f231652ea

And Pilot jet X2 required 45 or 48 you want, you will have either of the two sizes already in your carbs.

As for shims if not using adjustable needles a small packet of the smallest and thinnest washers you can find in a hardware store will do. You only need a few.

Dyno jets, best to give them a call, I believe they sell single jets. Popular sizes 170, 175, 180, 185, 190 or just stick two 180's in and use the dynojet base setting guidelines and hope for the best  But only use dynojets if using dyno jet needles.

Or just look on google maps before leaving and use you built in memory. Most of the journey is motorway/dual carriageway so it's only the last little bit to remember

Memory goes with age...

Motorways are boring anyway and since I do everything I can to avoid them satnav is very useful

as long as i'm in the uk, i'll be there, i would like to do some riding abroad, so i need to get used to 5/6hrs a day riding....

Nothing wrong with my filtering, I just get on with it. I ain't riding a motorbike to sit behind tw@ car drivers, and solid white lines dont count. If I can see my overtake safely, its done.

Ace cafe ( as much as I dont like the place ) would be a sensible meeting point on the day, taking into account Carlos's location. Be an early start though.

Sounds good Lloyd and a tenner a head up front is only fair. As for dates I will fit in around you guys but I would have thought mid May would be good, just before the peak of Summer. We just need to make sure it doesn't clash with anything else that is going on. Just heard that the weather for April is apparently forecast to be an Arctic April with Snow and stuff so hopefully by May there will me Sunshine
