what have you done to your "bike" today

thats a nice front end player .

i picked up a second set of blade forks for £26 last night for kermit .
im going to dismantle them later to see if the tubes are straight as i one on the bike has a little bend in it that i discovered when rebuilding it over the winter .

Stripped the alarm system out of my Bro's VFR800 and repaired the loom for him. All started first turn of the engine, first time it's run since last November

oil and filter change ,belly pan fitted, serviced the swing arm linkage and put a grease nipple in it ,sent off the swing arm to the powder coaters

Good idea with the nipple mate! Was it hard to do any pictures of work on progress etc how it was done blah blah blah

no more pics mate but its easy enough drill a 5mm hole in the middle tap a thread into m6 think there is a link on the workshop page

Today i cleaned the bike,

And made excellent use of an old knitting needle when i was taking the plugs out

oh dear they turn stuff round in 3 to 4 days and to a good standard. I get it done through work as we have alot of powder coating done result eh

To be fair he came highly recommended and only does bike stuff so he's always busy, your very lucky to get stuff back within a fortnight

Today I had a very pleasurable ride especially coming back home through heavy rush hour traffic. I was just switched on and in bike mode, getting a real good move on, but doing it by the book with the exception of breaking slight speed limits momentarily when overtaking etc. But my observation skills where (well I think so) extremely good with seeing things way ahead and preparing beforehand. I'm sure I was seeing people about to cross a crossing before the car drivers in front. I could anticipate it and see it happening. Very pleasurable ride but was shattered from the concentration when I got back in and I think my pulse rate is still high.

Maybe I will have a beer to help me chill if I can pull myself away from this forum. I still need to make food as well

I love the sound of my cans at low gear high revs.

+1 on the knitting needle seb, and ckennedy, seb's bike had no carbon wrap on it that i'm aware of, the flash git doe's have ultra rare real carbon fibre frame protectors tho, he sniped them from me on ebay..............
i bet you wouldn't think they were chinese repsol fairings tho would you....

tried to run the bike up to tempreture but my neighbour complained about the noise........
painted and cleaned up a spare storm rear wheel, even put reflective gold rim tape on it, looks good imo.
i've also been painting a few fairing brackets.
and on a slightly different note, my nans now out of hospital and feeling slightly better, thanks for all your messages of support.........

No I wouldnt have thought they were Chinese fairings. They look good. Flash git with carbon protectors.
