i have rubber mats to fit under the straps
i hope to get the shock this week and get it sent off for a service and a new linear spring .
when i get it back i will change the fork tubes and give them a service and fit the new shock .
it should ride great then as front and rear will be sprung for a 17 stone rider

Are these ok ?
I know in the manual it states 164psi
And mine are little lower but are they in need of work ?

what power was this bike putting out with this compression mate, how much has it dropped since October?

It was 105-108 weather dependent .
Still the same feels strong .
It's not using any more oil than when I got it 10k ago and it should last a few more years the engine has now done 71k :-)

Went out for a blast. First time riding it since fitting new tyres, levers, Scottoiler, brake pads and re fitting standard air filter. Found myself taking the piss a little, says a lot for those tyres, seeing they hadnt turned a wheel till this morning.

Brakes great, levers lovely, tyres are the dogs dangliestake no time at all to scrub them in, and no horrid bottom end with standard air filter. Scottoiler needed a bit of a flow adjustment, but thats par for the course. All is well, bike running purrrrrrrrfect.

Fcuking cold though !!

a very frustrating day for carl and me, loads of hassle trying to finish off the second bike, the bar ends won't fit unless i file them down... :( .
then i was sent a wrong package, mirrors instead of indi's, the indi's i did get won't fit on the rear because of the high levels, and they just aren't long enough to fit on the front without looking a bit odd.
then to top it off we had a nightmare trying to fit the main fairing back on, in the end we gave up, it was cold today, and it just weren't happening. can anyone post a picture of the front of there bike without the fairings on, we seem to have an excess of wiring at the front which is stopping us from getting the fairing in place....grrrrrrrrrr!!!!
theres still lots of little jobs to do and we are getting bored of this bike now, i just want it finished so i can get riding again....

And here's some from me.

But I already knew pics would not be any help.

Yep I am sick of that bike  And to top it all off, the cold weather made me twinge my lower back. :( :( :( But I had fun riding home through the traffic. I think I woke the Queen up coming down the mall  then I heard sirens and thought oh sh1t, so opened it more and got myself filtering (weaving in and out) through the choka block traffic fast and escaped.
