Thanks sirch - you are right, mario was the guy!!

I have emailed him and got current prices, now I have a decision to make - pay the extortionate prices to replace damaged lhs plastics or buy the full fairing which I think looks stunning - but as I am going to have to sell the bike.....

any advice?

Sorry to hear you have to sell you VTR.
I would give David Silver a try
http://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/

Or try ebay, they quite often have panels on there, go to motorcycle spares and type in VTR and also try Firestorm as not all list under both headings. I realise you may have already tried these. I personally think fitting a Mario Nava full fairing, (I agree with you it will look absolutely brilliant) you will be well out of pocket when you sell it, in most cases people will not pay much extra for after market parts, my be in some cases even less as its not standard. The decision will have to come from you, lets us know what you deside,
cheers Chris.

Its a horribly sad story and I am still trying to avoid having to sell her.

I bought her in 2001 (tho 2000 millenium yellow one :? ) and got myself pregnant in 2002 so my brother took her on free loan, in order to keep her running and so on i told myself - BAD idea. He dropped her and scraped up lhs fairing and so on - minor spill but usual plastics consequences.

Recently, I just decided to get back to it - but wrote my car off - sigh - and need a car with the wee one - no money to get one unless I sell the bike, which of course I cant do til she is repaired - by which time i wont want to at all

Oh what a complex life we lead......

maybe I could just keep her thru the summer and perhaps by the end I would have thought of a new solution to the problem.....

Thanks again for the help - will be back!!

I think I remember this , wasn't there some concern that your Bro might not look after / repair the bike then ??

Indeed I was always worried whether my bro would care for her, as his bandit (which he had before borrowing my bike) suffered from having a chain go and punching its way thru the engine :?

Thanks for the link to ebay

does anyone know if it IS actually possible to get a sidecar for the storm??????? temporarily anyway??

Told ya it was a good idea.
Hey vtrmum, I want some fairings like on your avatar. They would have to be some of the best looking yet. Anybody know how to get hold of real ones that look like this? 8)
