CARBON SEAT ON EBAY / SNIDE !!

As some may be aware I purchased yesterday a carbon seat on ebay yesterday .
Well it now appears I didn't ???
Even though I did the deal at the price asked / I asked do you have a buy it now price
to which he replied yes £100 +£10 postage .
He has now returned my PAYPAL payment on " moral grounds " ?? he cant do this deal as it would
be wrong but he would do it to me via buy it now .
Ive since found out he has offered it to another forum member trying to get more money
on a buy it now basis , how much are you willing to pay ! ( evil greedy bsard ).
I would gladly have paid more for it but he set the price , now hes just being snide !!!
I would urge forum members to not bid on this item ( I can but ask ) as this sort of thing
is just nasty and underhanded .
Of course I want the seat , as most know im MORIWAKI mad but this has made me extremely
angry .
He hasn't returned my emails since and is obviously A sh1t

Sorry to hear that yeti. Bloke wants shooting. Like you say he cant make a deal and then go back on it. At least he sent the money back though rather than keeping it.

What a shiyster. I can understand someone not wanting to end an auction early but they should have said that in the first place instead of giving you the run around. Marty had an experience similar the other week with an exhaust.

Sometimes it's best to just play by the rules as making a BIN offer on an auction is just notifying them of it's worth so your doing them a favour. It will probably go for at least double what the starting price was now as it's getting publicity. I wouldn't put it past sellers to purposely put a low price on an item to attract situations like this.

Well I wont be going near it. But I guess there will be loads of us watching now, and the seller is watching the watchers rubbing is hands together going "how much is it gonna sell for"

ebay is becoming a horrible nasty rip off marketplace to buy from these days. No more bargains and It's peak days have long gone. unless your extreme lucky to have spotted something that know one else has spotted because it's been listed in the wrong category or something.

but if you don't ask you don't get / though that's backfired on me
Its just a nasty way of doing business , I hate bidding and far prefer a flat price for
stuff , im a " that's the price take it or leave it " sorta guy .

I hear you and know where your coming from. But unfortunately we live in an unscrupulous world. The best thing we can do is make a note of sellers like this and boycott them. Hit them where it hurts. It may even bring the price of products down as there are less bidders or it makes it harder for them to sell products.

Maybe we should have an ebay seller blacklist in the dodgy dealers section. Sort of our own feedback system.
