i don't want them mate, if its from the race bike, you might have major issues making the rear wheel fit in the standard swingarm, because the spondon race swingarm is a fair bit wider than standard.....

that could be the reason why he's got an extra set of spacers :?:

i might be wrong player but if the issue is the wheel being to wide for the standard swingarm, why would you need spacers, maybe if the spacers were fitted to the spondon swingarm, but i can't see the point in that, why go to all the trouble of building a made to measure super strong swingarm thats a work of art and then choose a dymag wheel thats not very wide and needs spacers to fit....it doesn't make sense. as usual i might be wrong, if anyones interested in the wheels i'd contact the seller and ask for the wheel dimensions before bidding....
this is where you need yeti's input......

It can't be that difficult to work out. What size are storm wheels. Something like 17 X 5.50 rear and 17 X 3.5 something front I know for sure they are 17 but as for the width I'm just guessing as have never measured them. But Dymag make spacers for various sized bike, the important thing is that they are 17 inch and not 16 like a lot of them. As Marty said ask what size before buying don't take the selllers word for them fitting a Storm.

they were never going to be a bargain carl, not because they're on this thread, but because they're on ebay. anyways anything thats considered a special item, such as these wheels, will never be a bargain, hence the reason yeti uses the tactic of getting in early. btw anyone buying these and thinking they'll be easy to fit to a standard storm might be in for a surprise, i think the seller is being very vague in their description for a reason....

I agree with Cyberman...

I think if there was a chance of a bargain then the eBay thread frenzy certainly kills it off, more so if someone does a bit of looking around (like the possible Moriwaki seat scenario), realises it's causing a bit of excitement and then decides to cash in at the expense of others.. I can see why Ian is upset with it all with this in mind.

The thing with this thread is that the bits that get listed by people are the bits they are not interested in for themselves.. if it was then I am sure they would NOT list them in the hope of getting themselves a bargain. All it does is ruin the chance of a bargain for others. It's been said before in the past at the beginning of this thread (cupasoop I think it was) that we all have an ability to search for things, we just have to put the time in to find the bargains ourselves...

I would prefer it to be a " can you keep an eye out for me please" thread.. for bits people are desperate to find and having trouble finding.. and only those items put into the thread

It is close to me not bothering to look through ebay etc and wait for it to be flagged up on here and then watch myself bid against others here and then probably pay over the odds for an item that half the people wouldn't even be searching for..

I know I am not much of a post kind of guy and don't say a lot but felt this way about this thread for a while.. just wanted to get it off my chest.. not that it matters but just makes me feel better.
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?
