It would be sinking as low as him if I posted the info on here
so I`m not going to do that .
If an administrator wants the details to see if it is someone
who frequents this site , I would be more than happy to
give them the info I have .
Its funny but this trivial event has actually put the dampers
on the whole VTR thing for me , I`ve loved owning my storms
and being involved in this site and getting to know some of you
but it just takes something like this and i`m thinking I`ll just
take a step back and re-evaluate a few things and put a few
things into perspective .
I will look in on occasion  .
It really has been a pleasure to meet some of you guys and
if I can help anyone out I still will but I think I`ll take a small
sabbatical from vtr1000.org .

YETI / IAN .

Yeti my good man don't act in haste. Take a day or two to evaluate your position and never act on the heat of the moment.

Its a bit of a pisser that someone pulled the rug from under your deal fella. I'm sorry to hear that it could of been someone from here that did it.
The same has happened to me before I had made an offer on an item on eBay and the seller accepted only for someone who wanted the item a tenner more than me gazumped me.
I don't hold any grudges that way as I know things have a habit of evening themselves out over time. I guess we are in a society which is more and more driven by greed and selfishness.

I do like to think that this forum offers a place for like minded people to help each other out from time to time. I have been know to sell the odd item here and there but I also try and give stuff away to people to try and help them out.

Just thought I'd give my tuppence worth.

unless i'm mistaken, there are several scenarios,
A, a person on this forum has gazumped you....(very bad indeed)
B, the seller has actively sought a buyer who is willing to pay more money, and the buyer maybe a forum member (very bad indeed) or could have nothing to do with this forum, in which case your only issue is the seller
C, the seller is a forum member, which i doubt, and if they are, then they're not an active member.

if i was to guess and thats all it is. a guess. i would say the seller isn't a forum member or is a lurker, he is greedy, he has seen your post about the seat being mori. he's then approched a seller that had contacted him via ebay, and has done a deal for more money.
i highly doubt an active forum member would knowingly do this to you ian.
i think this forum is great, with lots of like minded people that will go out of there way to help each other, i've never come across another forum like this before. don't let this one issue get to you mate. as jazza said, things have a way of evening out, do yourself a favour, delete all that info you have on the seller, you'd be stupid to act on any of it and i know your not that kind of person anyway.
i can honestly say that your one of the good guys and as you've welcomed into your home and given me some cake, it don't get any better... :D
chin up buddy and don't let this greedy git get to you, you win some you lose some.
i do believe the forum should up the post count to at least 50 before someone can even access the sales section. is there any chance of this happening jazz?
and if admin wants to delete the ebay sticky thread, i won't mind. at the end of the day we can all search for things ourselves.
what ever you do ian, don't be a stranger buddy....

419 post minimum

Oh baldrocks just banned myself.

This is THE BEST Forum I belong too, great people and helpfully. I like some others read way way more than I post. But don't hold that against me as a long term member.

Yeti, don't let it get you down, I would have quit selling on eBay years ago professionally if I got upset at all the back handed things that happen to us. But it's less than 0.5% that give us some trouble and only 0.2% are full of sh1t. We just move on to the next good guy.
A light hearted example.
We are called Afterhours Computers and sell virus software. Today (Thursday) we had an email complaint that where was his goods ordered last night around 8.30pm (Wednesday) After all we are called Afterhours Computers so don't we work late.. Takes a lot of restraint not to say "wombles off Sir"

Like I said the vast majority are good people.

I'm in not way trying to promote our eBay shop.

Dont worry about it Yeti you got enough special components be getting on with anyway I'm sure anther will crop up in time mate. You win some you lose some, think it was marty that got shafted the other week with some exhaust deal and the seller Richard him over.
Just name and shame where possible least you can have some fun with the seller and buyer if known

Is this seller for real. He does a deal then screws you over. Worse thing about it is he says you were after it from previous seller, he knows you want it so why not just sell it to you at an agreed price.
Surely if he had your money then the sale had taken place. Ebay should ban them for messing around.

Nothing to do with ebay - as YETI did the 'deal' outside of its auspices.

Pragmatically (and after the event) I wish YETI had asked for an Essex local if they could have popped round to finalise the deal, so they couldn't back out, as the seller only lives about 15 miles away from me .
It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
