Hello All,
Has anyone tried cutting the plastic strip down the centre of the airbox?
I came across it here (http://www.burniemorgan.com/firestorm/airfilter.html) and was wondering if it is worth doing or if there is any noticeable performance difference?
Cheers!

I tried it - haven't noticed any difference in performance although i haven't had the bike on a dyno since I removed the rib - airbox flow is noisier if anything. I have a feeling that this rib is there to direct some of the flow to the back of the airbox and to the rear velocity stack. Thinking of putting it back to be honest.
Out of my way or I'll eat the lot of ye!!

Yeah, if you look closely at the top of the rib it's angled slightly upwards and it looks suspiciously like it's there to split the air flow to the back velocity stack or else to try and cut turbulence in the air box. Maybe, maybe not, but it hasn't improved fook all on my bike
