My weekend Yorkshire Dales

Weather forecast was good last weekend so went with 2 mates on our bikes to stay in bunkbarns at Station pub nr Ribblehead viaduct with 8 other friends. It rained most of the way there accomodation was a box room with 2 triple bunks and other bedroom with triple and double bunk. 11 people only one toilet, duvets and pillows stained with god knows what (I slept on the entrancehall floor it was preferable). Had meal in pub where their pet dog was in the kitchen eating his dinner while ours was being prepared. Sunday still raining ride to Dent across to Hawes over Buttertubs pass then up to Tan hill pub (highest in Britain) back along Arkengarthdale, Swaledale Richmond Northallerton (stopped raining by now) down past York and back home. Had a great weekend away loved it out on Bike

When was that? This weekend just gone?

I only ask because I was up that way (well, Layburn anyway) this weekend and it was lovely and dry.

Sounds like a lovely pub, cum stained pillows, one toilet and a dog malting in the kitchen on your food

It was last weekend 13/14 April. We had rain through sunday until we got to Richmond. The bunkbarn was 100 quid a night for 11 people, I'd still go back if the weekend was as enjoyable as we had! It was the Station Inn Ribblesdale. It had a "loo with a view" you coud stand having a pee looking at Ribblehead viaduct.
