DAVES NEW PAINT JOB,SMART AS..

Post by Anotherbikerbabe »

I posted a while ago after Dave bought this bike last Sept and it was all different shades of yellow, bit scruffy looking and after seeing my shining example.. :biggrin he decided on same paint job to go Red and silver (where mine is red/white) so here is before and after..A guy in Hereford did the whole bike, cracking job he did too so I have his info if anyone wants a change! Think most will agree, it looks as smart as a dart now   8) Get that pesky prob sorted this weekend and it'll be tickeyboo..

It wasn't a very bonny shade or matching up beforehand:

It now sports new carbon look levers, new decals, swapped the stock indis for arrows and put a build in led rear brake/light unit on back n other little new bits n pieces..;-) It got a lorra lorra lacquer n paint and oven baked to perfection..He did such a good job, you can't tell when they are side by side that it was never red in the first place! Just the gel seats to sort as sold my bloody seat on my old VTR when I was gonna get a blade! doh!

Looks good that does  Top marks to the bloke who painted it. I had all mine stickered over the new paint and the clear coat over the top as it was cheaper for me to get it done that way. £230 for mine all in 8O Helps when you know people.

Look forward to seeing them both on a forum meet or a small trip over and a meet that way.

Verrry smart Tracy!
I like how the flashes on the bellypans break up the colour.
Wasn't yours yellow and Dave's black, or is my memory going to pot?

Hi Nelly, hows it going mate? Yes, THE OLD ones were Yellow and Black, my Yellow one looked dynamite when I sold her last May, then I bought Marravtrs bike when I moved to Wales, Dave sold his old Black one when he went to work in Africa last year as he was away 12 weeks at a stretch n only home for 3 weeks so he sold it then he bought the yellow one in Sept going cheap and did the paint job, it actually looks a lot nicer than his old Black one did, now it's had the paint job anyway. Hope you're good, maybe catch up with you soon if you're still in North Wales?
