I have done that on a few occasions with no problems.

I'm looking forward to answer for this problem and how to resolve it. It's a real mystery one this.

sorry i haven't been on here in a long time.....i took my bike to piddocks honda dealership and they couldn't tell me how to fix this problem either and there only suggestion was to buy a new set of clocks. so i have just learned to live with it but obviously when it comes to mot time you have no way of explaining that the odometer is in fact reading kilometres as it is a non import machine so guess what.....your odometer milage reading is going to take a massive hit and recorded as miles ffs. just as well that i am now using the storm as a track bike and don't plan on trying to sell it on as it would be a right b@ll ache to explain the said problem to any prospective new owner

I have just been looking at the electrical schematics and curiously the only thing that shares the same circuit as the ODO/TRIP is the Regulator Rectifier via the main fuse and the 10a fuse for the Odometer where it also feeds to the ignition switch. I'm wondering if it's something to do with the R/R. I just can't see how :confused It might be worth doing a swap just to see. Just borrow a spare one temporally from someone.
