help

Post by theweeeman »

Right then! ive replaced my headstock and rear wheel bearings which were both shot. I had trouble with the front end weaving as i was accelerating in sweeping bends. This has since been sorted, but now since my return from the TT, the front feels, well like something is loose inside the forks or around that area, i have checked all bolts and cant find a fault visually, but now i have a slight judder on the forks while braking. I know the pads and disc's are ok, does this mean my forks are ready for an overhaul???????

You see, the thing is, the bike feels strange around the front when cornering especially right handers, no weaving or loosing its line, just a slight knocking from the forks you have to really look for it to notice. But under braking it turns into a shudder from 70mph down hard, if i just brake normally you dont feel it  If it is disc's then chances are i have two problems, wouldnt you say?

have you had the forks out, cos if you have they might be slightly twisted................loosen everthing and give em a bounce and tighten them up, are both fork settings the same.......obvious I know but some joke altered mine while I was at work, took ages to figure what was wrong.
it may be clever, but its not big.
