Ref the right hand side green light that tells me the indicator is on. Yes yes I know it's supposed to go on off on off etc as the indicators flash but sometimes it isn't working at all and then it is. I've twiddled the wires to the bulb casing to see if it altered anything, it didn't. Would this fail its next MOT?
Where does this bulb feed its power from?
If I re run it directly to the indicator would that work or would it make the indicators flash too quickly with it being a small bulb?
Indicator display light intermittent
Re: Indicator display light intermittent
Bulb connection might need a clean up mate take the clock off and pull the bulb and give it a clean up
Also it can be handy to fire some spray in the switch, my indicators stopped working for a while
turned out the connections in the switch was wombles up (technical term) with the salt and water in the winter, I sprayed WD40 repeated for a few days in the unit and all was good, I just jammed the straw in where the thumb switch is and gave it dam good spraying

Re: Indicator display light intermittent
The indicators are working fine Seb, it's the little green display light with the little arrow on it on the dash. Pulled it out and all looks well and clean.

pop the clocks off and have a look at the little m4 screws on the back.
all the dash wires are joined with little ring connectors and they do corrode a bit.
just scratch em up clean and put some grease over them or silicon after doing the screws up nice n tight
or it might be corrosion inside the little t10 bulbholders - usually sorts it just by taking the bulb out and popping it back in,

You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when posting something which you later rely on in quote. Anything you do say may be ripped to sh*t.
Re: Indicator display light intermittent
Have taken bulb out a few times, no corrosion there. I'll pop the clocks off and have a look at the connectors. Where does the power originate from i.e. from the flashunit or indicators etc?
