Buying a VTR......I hope!
Well JJW I hope you're happy with the reasoned, intelligent response you got to your request for information. Welcome to the wonderful, warped world of Firestorm.

Hello, is there anyone out there? Hello? Hello?

I'll come over and show you mine, though it's not for sale
Hi, I live in Belgium. I'm brandnew to this forum. I have a sister living in Bristol, who I try to visit each year (preferably by bike) in August. I bought mine a few months ago, before I had a SV650. Big upgrade !!
But I must confess it is a hell of a bike.........
Good luck on your bike-hunting.

welcome to the site JJW (and Katmadam of course)
I'm also new to 'Storm riding - got mine 3 months ago. Can't comment too much on the shelf life of the bike, mine has 33,000miles on it, has been regulary serviced, and is still going strong.
But I am similar size to yourself (6'4" but only 80Kgs -- skinny b@rstiid) and find the bike very comfortable, with plenty of room to move around. It's a capable bike, plenty of poke, but the power is smooth -- it certainly ain't gonna scare you, or spit you off
.
The only other thing to mention, which no-one has mentioned yet in this string, but its only a matter of time...is the fuel consumption/range. Most people seem to get up to about 100 miles from full till the little lamp comes on (depending on how hard you are trying
, and then you get something like 15 more miles before you're dry. Not a problem if you only want it for short blasts, but something to consider if you plan on doing some longer trips.
Go for it mate!
