BT016 PRO vs Pilot Power 2CT
have any of you used the pro version of the BT016?
Ive narrowed it down to them (175 a set) or the Pilot power 2CT (190ish a set)
Few of my mates run the pilot powers and said they give great grip when thrashing, but also have lots of life due to being dual compound

Re: BT016 PRO vs Pilot Power 2CT
i can only comment on the pilot power 2ct
they grip like glue but race scrubs last longer .
i had a new 2ct fitted 1500 miles ago and its down to the markers already and its not squared off .
i managed 4k from race tecks and super cursors before
im having pilot road 2s or 3s fitted next

Re: BT016 PRO vs Pilot Power 2CT
christ really? thats sh1t lol
I want something that i could get circa 3.5k out of, but has good levels of grip too
My mates ran the Power pure sorry, not pilot power (stupid michelins all sound the same) and they loved them
the 016 Pro allegedly gets 20% more life to a rear and 40% more to the front, with extra grip in the wet
I dont mind paying a couple of hundred quid, as long as theyre upto scratch

Re: BT016 PRO vs Pilot Power 2CT
the 2cts are great for grip and lean angle in the wet and dry ,
the front still looks like new but the rear is about had it ,
i do ride hard on the throttle but 1.5k is not good , i only had them as i was told i would get 5k from a rear
.
if i had money to burn every few months i would stick with the 2ct as they give great feed back but i dont so im giving the roads a try next as they to come with good recommendations for the storm

Lloydie that's not good milage for a 2ct!
I have used the road 2 the power and now the road 3 (all2CT) and the rear 3 is shot now but it was fitted last Easter and been ragged round the TT and all sorts. I never make a note of my milage, but I would say I have done about 4000 miles on it

Re: BT016 PRO vs Pilot Power 2CT
As far as I can make out the Road 2 and the Road 3 are as good as each other and just a bit more life and wet weather grip than the Power. For the firestorm I don't think we have enough power or speed to need the Power tyre, but I tried a pair just for good measure, but went back to the Road 3 as I never have found their limits in the dry either.
I rate them as a great all round road tyre for our bike, only serous track day work would find their limitations, but fast road use is easy, and so is fast wet road use

Yes that's one thing I think about, sure I don't hang about, but do I really need a really sports orientated tyre?
Will check the pr2/3 out

Ah, well there might be a difference in our usage there, you might have to ignore my reccomendations...........I have to spend a lot of time hanging about

usually waiting for the others colours to catch up

You wont have any problems with the PR2 or 3 for spirited road work

Yes I heard that yellow storms are renowned for having less tyre life than others ;)
