15/42 Sprockets

Post by EGG »

Just changed my chain and sprockets. I was running 16/43 before and what a difference it made. sh1t fitted the new 1's and went to try them out! WOW!!!!!!! When i open it up hard the front won't stay on the tarmac.
Going round my local roundabout's was an experance. Kept out braking myself because i was going about 10 mph faster between them.

i was thinking about this for my wheelies as everyone tells me a different front sprocket will make them easier...

....but then others tell me 3rd gear power wheelies should be possible...yeah right!

Mate i found it easier to wheelie with 16/41 than with 16/43 or 15/42. It was so smoother and not so scary, however now it's quite enteraining nailing it off roundabouts and lofting the front without trying at about 18 inches off the floor until you hook 3rd proper GP style.
