My weekend.

Post by neil »

Was good to meet some of you guys at operation Storm Friday/Saturday. Thanks for the welcome, was good to put a face to some of the names. Weather was good but cool on the night eh! Couldn't make it Sunday as we were meeting some friends in Bridlington/Thornwick bay for a walk & meal but still got out on bike.

NR750 in car park at Squires

Wife suggested I got my GT750 back on road after seeing this one. She always said it was the most comfortable pillion

Few of the bikes at campsite

This was the "guess the weight of the pig" competition at Squires. Bet they don't have that at the Ace Cafe. No comments please my wife is the one on the left

Monday ride went to Yorkshire moors, went on minor roads there missed all traffic. This is Stape road north of Pickering
Image

Went onto Beck Hole nr Goathland. This pub Birch Hall Inn is well worth a visit if you are ever in the area. Bar is tiny was glad to see it has managed to stay open

Finished up in Whitby resisted fish & chips, then had a good evening ride back across the moors brilliant roads. Why can't all bank holidays have weather like that

You are right and I wondered about that. An expensive bike to leave lying around in a car park. I wonder if the owner has had it since new before it was worth so much.

This one often shows up at the Ace, they have been trying to flog it for at least five years, wonder why it doesn't sell :Jaw Drop: :Jaw Drop:

your right edds11 the one at squires is one of a matching pair from holland..the sister bike was on ebay for a while but never sold, the guy who owns the one in yorkshire also owns a couple more rare bikes...people are always telling him that if they owned that bike it would be sitting in the living room where the tv should be...his answer to that is...it's only a motorbike,it needs riding not storing..

There are quite a few NR750 in the north west, one in a shop window in Preston, one in another bike shop I was in when I was looking for a K6 GSXR and iirc one was out side Blackburn rocket centre other week

I've seen more NR750's than I have evolution fireblades

The silly price tags are just marketing ploys online they don't genuinely sell for anything near that, according to one owner collecter I spoke to other month
