First thing I did when bought it is a full service including caliper clean and all new fluids.
This bike has from paperwork been serviced previously about 5 times in last 1000 miles over 4-5 years! Picked it up on 16,000 miles.
Yes a few cosmetics have been sorted but happy enough with the way it rides at least for now. So no, mods are not backwards listed!

Not interested in air box mods or USD etc.
That's not to say I don't have more planned or even imminent :-$
Must be mad!

I guess I was refering to how the stock suspension is horrendous.

Very undersprung forks and super oversprung shock with totally wrong damping. The bikes weakest link by a huge margin. Anyone light enough for a stock front would be way too light for the shock.

You may not know what you are missing but even springing the forks for you wieght would pay huge dividends in handling (and safety). And putting an aftermarket shock is a total game changer.

I too resisted for a while, but after doing the upgrades I was angry at myself for not doing it sooner.

I am not resisting..this is my second storm and am sure could be better.
I was big on vfr400 nc30s for years. One of the very finest handling bikes. Period. Yet a maxton shock and forks worked miracles.
Hence why I am currently in talks with Maxton :-D

What's way is your talks with maxton going? Are you getting them to do anything special or just working out what the best setup will be?
Looking to upgrade both ends on mine as still running stock and well past the replacement :(
Don't hassle me
I'll get there at some time

What you going for SP1 , SP2, VFR, Standard Braced? wanted to get that 954 unit on as it fitted onto the block perfectly but think it has issues with the stock pipes so never tried it in the end, there are some pictures kicking about if you're handy at fabricating stuff the 954 is the best looking swingarm of the lot thats a Bolt into the engine item but might require you to make a single sided pipe or some modifications etc as well as linkage arms like the SP1 / 2
