Hagon shock pricing

Post by thumperslaw »

So i've got a second hand shock off a member here and it was built 30mm shorter then standard.
So with that in mind i paid a good price for it. I called hagon and said can i have it put back to standard and the price for doing so (mind you the seller got email saying it would be £99) they quoted me £157 plus postage 8O

Think i could send them the email saying you have already quoted £99 for rebuild to standard spec

that don't sound to clever, i've been and seen the hagon factory in person, its about 15mins away from me. the guys in there are bikers, and they're very helpful, they've been going for awhile now and have a decent reputation, so it does surprise me. do as al said, it'll be interesting to hear their reply :eh:

i ran a beefed up hagon on my bike last year, and i'll be putting back on my bike at some point this year, its deffo an improvement over the stock shock. i had a problem with mine blowing a seal and losing compression. i took it back to them, they overhauled it, posted it back to me, with a new c-spanner, all at no cost, because it was under warrenty.....
as i said, very helpful guys.
the only thing i'll say about hagon, the shock doesn't stand up to weathering very well, it doesn't take long for it to start looking tatty, buy a shock sock or cut a sleeve off of an old wetsuit. it will do the job of pretecting the shock from the elements...
