Post by sgoaty »

Just picked up my new bike today. Its got 32.5k miles on it and is in pretty good condition few stone chips etc but over all not bad at all.

Bought it from a good mate of mine who was on here and a couple owners back it belonged to another forum member.

Aye, i've heard from him

You're correct , i moved to a bandit 1200 , had it a couple of years, then we needed to run two cars so the bike was sold :( , i bought the next best thing to a bike...an MX5 convertible, got the piss ripped out of me from the lads at work for buying a 'hairdressers car' , sold it and bought a Mazda 6 !

The Mazda mx5 was a great wee car though.

Bikeless at the moment, can't afford one, runnin 2 cars, daughter at University in Edinburgh etc , but it doesn't stop me spendin hours on Gumtree and Ebay and hoping my lottery numbers come up

Must say, my auld Firestorm still looks pretty good

I wonder if that's still the standard cans with the baffles removed ?

Memories...memories... :(
Here's my favourite photo when i owned the bike-

don't you just love hair dressers cars  I had a FIAT X 1/9 when i first tried to wean my self off bikes…….and now I have a mini cooperS convertible so i have no room to critisize :D

i plan to get some of this crowd up to Sw scotland for a ride out in August so we will be heading up to Ayr on the A713…you can come out and wave at us

I know that road well due to going down that way Pike fishing every other weekend over winter, that's your neck o the woods is it not, the wee road from the Loch Ken Hotel over to Crocketford?
Infact i was down at Castle Douglas a few weeks back, the Chinese at the Ayr road junction does a good deal.......£4.70 iirc for 3 courses
