Got more problems with the gixxer now :-(
Sometimes when I start it up it will manage to stall it's self after say 30 secconds
The exhaust valve in the link pipe is making horrible squeaking noises when shutting off the throttle and when changing down the gears or when you blip it in natural etc
I'm guessing the thing is not opening and closing as it should be, also found out it should be protected by a cover which isn't present on my bike so it's been lost with a previous owner when a race can has been on or something....
If I disable the valve in the open position following some youtube guide I found will it make the bike louder?
Will it cause any issues such as running lean?

It will be a little louder and you will loose some bottom end torque.....like you would notice....lol
Other than that you will be fine..... the FI should be able to compensate to keep things from blowing up though a power-commander would make it run better.

Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.

surely it won't be as loud as the storm at 3am in the morning
I fitted the stock exhaust on mine yesterday, didn't connect the cable for the exhaust flap so it's open all the time. Took it for a quick run after, all ok, went as it should.
You should have bought a blade

Sounds like a good excuse for a power commander and a tune up if you ask me
They're supposed to be quite receptive to a bit of a tweek if I recall
