Cleaned and polished mine had a couple of dash light out(rev counter and temp gauge) so replaced the bulbs then thought I would check all the other lights what a shock sidelight didn't work but worse than that was the rear brake light didn't work. So sidelight didn't even have the wire connected to the back and the brake light switch was well corroded all sorted now ready for Saturdays dyno day.

Got up this morning with the trotts.....Could not trust a fart !!

Decided better not go to work in case my pants took a battering, but as the morning went on my guts started behaving, so I set to sorting out a minor car problem.

That taken care of ( or so I thought ) I decided to have a look at giving the bike an oil and filter change. Had a look at the air filter condition, only to find a K&N fitted. Was going to replace it with a standard filter, seeing as it's on standard fuelling and with the Akro pipe, I thought It may be a bit lean. Took a couple of plugs out and they are exactly as you would want, a nice coffee brown, so I assume the fuel injection is compensating automatically. Now I'm tempted to put it on the dyno Saturday, just to see whats what.

Changed oil, oil filter, and spark plugs. Wired in sat nav and 12 Volt socket under seat, fitted tank cover, all in readiness for next Friday ( 28th ) when I'm going to France on the old girl for just over a week.

Cant bloody wait !!

I know al but with my rear set and the position I want the cans the extra support will be nice . Plus using those bits will help with any clearance issues with the new links and they will be easier to make .

Have you got a trade card Carl? You can get upto 60-70% off depending on what your buying. The parts tend to be discounted most as its trying to encourage trade/small time mechanics to use them. If you haven't got one, go speak to them and tell them you do lots of mechanics work on other people's bikes and your after new tools- they might give you a card if you haven't one already? Griff.

I know, it's just a pain in the butt sometimes when you find you haven't got the tool for the job. Still, it's an excuse to build on the tool collection :biggrin Buy another tool I will use once in a Blue moon
