Got it back down to £450 tpft before realising I'd put the wrong date of birth!

Guess I'm gonna be on the hornet for a while longer. Takes the actual piss. I really want to know their reasoning behind increasing the premium fivefold
I've used all the comparison sites I can. MCE were the quoted £800 fc before but now they won't touch me, which confuses me. Especially with their "any bike any age" thing, and that was £800 with the ohlins declared too... eBike are asking for 3k tpft.. carol nash won't touch, and peter james.. I haven't heard of, I'll try but I'm not confident. They've all banded together on a hate wagon against mepopkat wrote:Shop around some more, try ebike, carol nash, Peter James (good for older stuff) MCE, to name a few. Firestorm is a low insurance group and not classed as high as a modern 600, think it's group11. tell them your best quote so far is £800 and see what they can do. It's a pia but worth it if it saves you money.

Get a bank loan to pay-up-front to insurance for the necessary certificate - collect winnings from bookmakers to at end of year to pay off bank loan.
Sorted!

Gonna book a bike safe in the next few months, that was always planned for my first year of riding at some point. And my dad wants me to do an IAMs course at some point before I come off the restrictor, but I don't think I'll be able to do it soon. Confidence is still suffering and I'm picking up bad habits from commuting to work and riding alone most of the timegeodude wrote:Go do Bike Safe and then the IAM Advanced test. That'll bring it down a bit,
