Hey, hey, I am in Belgium too.trebs wrote:Welcome katmadam,
At last, another .be Stormer on here !
I'm in Gent area, and they're pretty rare here.
Living in Hoegaarden (yes, that Hoegaarden, beer place

I am not Belgian by origin, I have been transferred to Belgium by my company with my family and I work here long-term as local employee. I am here for 5 years already

My apologies for no single word in Vlaams - I am almost fluent in verbal Flemish now but not in written

4 wheels moving body, 2 wheels moving soul

I was actually suggesting that Kaz gives Yellafella a slap because he's a cheeky boy.
I may be a little thick but the word madam at the end of the name in my opinion did suggest that Katmadam was a female
Welcome Katmadam you will soon get used to our sporadic squabbling
:lol

Listen here smartie! There are much much much stranger things on this forum than a bloke with a name like madam! I just figured it was better to be safe than sorry...Alienist wrote:It seems that only VTRgirl had trouble working out your genderBe gentle on her, she rides a yellow storm.

If you ate yourself would you become twice as big or simply disappear?
very entertaining
laughed out loud as i read 4 pages of gender queries and colour combat BUT did JJW ever buy the Storm.
Come on JJW. Its a fantastic bike. Dont be distracted by the everyman CBR. Join the V Twin club and ride a bike that SOUNDS like a bike should (at least it does once you change the exhaust)
Nows a great time to buy cos fancy rich people are off loading them to buy the next big thing (cheers for handling the depreciation) theyve read about in Ride magazine.
Thats not to say the bike feels old.
The "Glass" insurance industry guide book says a clean, year 1999 VTR is valued at
£3425 with 17000 miles on the clock.
A 2003 bike (which has the HISS imobiliser) is valued at £4350 with 3000 miles on the clock.
Thats the RETAIL price (trade is about a grand cheaper),
so if youre feeling brave you might get a better deal out of Motorcycle news if youre prepared to risk it. Although I have to say, once youre spending over a grand I prefer to pay a little more knowing I can take it back if something dodgy turns up after a weeks riding.
Funnily enough red, black, blue and orange Storms are all valued the same.
