It's a car Jim...

Post by MacV2 »

...but not how we know it...

Waste 8 mins & 13 sec's of your life watching this... :eek2  8O

http://sundayafternoonclub.blogs.topgea ... ak-record/

308 T16 875bhp 3.2 V6

Now watch it again & you start to notice things like...how many times 1st is used... the altimeter top right going crazy...at 6mins 15 hitting the rev limiter in 6th ! Oh & a few skid marks where some one has got it wrong...

Smashed the old record in the process...

There's an interview with Mr Lobe about this, in Motor Sport Mag this month.

Despite the fact that he beat the Peugeot Computer boffin's estimated time, he reckons he wasn't really trying that hard !

Any way the article made reference to 'Climbe Dance' the film made about Ari Vatanen at Pikes Peak, 405 T16 600bhp mainly on gravel, mainly sideways...only 2 mins or so slower & mainly no flippin barriers...anywhere !!

I'm off now to search for Audi Quattro at Pikes Peak...

Now that sounds good...once you get past the German tw@ waffling on...

He's just failed his driving test for crossing his arms on the steering wheel.

Think that's the last of his worries with a 10,000 ft drop inches away...
