Never mind the rubber usage, what about that rear end 8O 8O
Perhaps it's just me, but that looks ugly IMHO.

Agree about the rear end, reminds me of the Eiffel tower...

It's a shame rear ends are getting ugly, it's a struggle (for me at least) to find bikes that look good from the front.. It's gonna get difficult to find any overall nice looking bike soon enough, except the firestorm that is

Trying to be fair to him I thought maybe it was a picture taken when it was new hence the chicken strips, but then saw the dirt on the back wheel....what a wuss

The crossplane R1 is pig ugly from the swingarm pivot back and from any angle, they're not much better to ride either. After MCN gave it rave reviews (pay off ???) there were loads for sale 2nd hand in a short time. I rode one when they first came out 2009 I think, really not nice, Yamaha trying to make a four cylinder v twin Aprilia and failing  And the power mode switch which alters throttle response is only ok in normal mode, put it onto the "full power" one and the throttle is like a light switch and the bike gets all jerky, just like poor fuel injection, Similar feeling to an 04 blade but a lot worse. Maybe I rode a bad one  It was a 500 mile demo bike.
