Hi from west yorkshire

Post by martynh »

Hi everyone,
I`ve taken a keen interest in this site owing to cct issues with my `98 thumper, so thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time and inclination to post help and advice on these forums.
I have only been back in the saddle for a few years now, and have owned my 'storm for 2 years, and i love it (as i`m sure you all love yours).

Like many riders, I do not consider myself a mechanic, although I did do quite a lot of work on the bike over the winter: new chain, wheel bearings, hugger, powder coated wheels, new pads etc, etc. I will try and post some pics, once I get used to this social media thing!!
Took me 10 minutes to figure out how to even get this so you could read it.

So hi once again, and I look forward to chating with some fellow "Stormers" soon.

Welcome to the forum as for posting pics the easiest way is to open a free photobucket account, upload you pictures to there, then it is as simple as copying and pasting the code across into your post. http://www.vtr1000.org/phpBB3/viewtopic ... 18&t=27367

Unfortunately yes, me and my son decided to replace them, we bought an american set identical to the Kreiger ones and in the process knocked the timing out. Deciding not to cause any more damage we had a mechanic sort it out, it came to £350! :problem:
