Once Ziggy has been good enough to collect all the parts, compile a list of what is available and then put a new post up on the forum for one week. Then let everyone who is interested make a "sealed" bid via PM and exactly one week after the post, highest offer takes the item. This would give infrequent visitors a chance to "bid" and everyone would ultimately bid the maximum that they could afford.
Like I said, just a thought.
sound best

Seems to be the logical choice over a Forum auction.

Sealed bids over a week gets my vote.

I have a feeling that plate will go for more than what he paid for it originally. The only problem with private plates is that it makes a bkie/car more distinguishable. Not something one needs if you want to boot someones car or abuse them after they cut you up.

Was chatting to Daz from NWB about the reg
I think the easiest method would be to transfer the V5 as is(to save his mrs from the form filling, transfer reg, retention etc.)
Then put the reg on retention (for sale)
then the frame can be sold with a V5 with an age related plate and the reg sold separately.

Don't the frame need tax and mot before the plate can be taken off ?

I'm in need of a frame :-)

Yeah got a private reg myself and the donor vehicle has to be taxed and mot'd! Not sure if there is any way around that! Don't suppose there's a chance it's already on retention?!

Any volunteers to sort out the reg plate?

I have no idea the process of transferring plate, frame or whatever, so wondered if someone else did, if they would volunteer to sort this out?
