Much hassle with breaking a bike up?

Post by joe kozzi »

Thinking of breaking my firestorm if it don't sell for what i want.. Reckon its worth it?
Wp Shock with remote reservoir
Fireblade front end (forks, yokes, calipers, discs)
Adjustable bars
Rebuilt calipers with new pads
New chain and Supersprox sprocket
Carbon engine cover (genny cover unfortunately made a bid for freedom on a ride out!!)
Harris rearsets
Powdercoated wheels/swingarm
Undertray/tailtidy
Projector lights with sp-1 style (fake) Air duct
Single seat unit
dynojet kit
New fuel carbon cans with removable baffles
Red braided hoses all round
Uprated reg/rect
Crash bungs

Thats what its got. Worth it or not?

Best advice I can give you is do a spreadsheet and list EVERY part and give that part a price based on what it usually goes for on ebay etc.

Then you will get an idea of how much you can potentially make.

Then factor in postage costs and your time wrapping and posting stuff.

You will be left with a lot of parts that wont sell but if you have a place to store them I guess that aint a problem.

Why not just sell the tail and put it back to standard. Surly that is a whole lot cheaper and less hassle. If you was to get another Storm to take a pillion then you would be best to keep things like the rear shock.

Want something pillion friendly. Thick seat, low pegs etc.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Ah now thats a possibility... See what happens on ebay, its at 1220 with a couple of hours left and not expecting much more tbh, 1400 was the minimum id have let it go for but don't think it will even reach that

What happened to the ebay link for this? Did it sell?

Seems a shame to break it. Would be perfect for me in 6 months time when I sell the blade.
