I bought another naked, very upright position. My new bike is a KTM Duke 690 with ABS. It is completely different, it accelerates very quickly up to about 50 or 60 mph and handles really well. It has a very comprehensive dashboard even with a gear indicator as standard, high quality components Magura, Brembo etc and excellent low weight - only 150kgs with all fluids and a full tank of fuel. I went for my first proper ride this morning in the rain and muck. I went out in the crappy weather as it was the only chance i had to have a ride and it did not matter at all. Its like riding a dirt bike, big wide handle bars, light weight, and very communicative handling, I was riding through country lanes with gravel and mud without too much stress and after 90 odd miles I loved it. I put it in the garage and its the sort of bike where you do not feel the need to wash it, I am chuffed to bits as I am so happy I can enjoy riding again without the pain afterwards. For me as my main bike I think its a great bike or for a second bike for fun (not really long journeys) I thinks it a great choice.
