Needing brass choke fitting

Post by superhawk996xx »

OK, Does anyone know anyone selling the brass choke retaining nuts? I really need two of them. Only one of my broke while cleaning carbs but I am going to just replace both of them. Also, does anyone sync carbs using a vacuum gauge? I am going to buy one being I need it for more than one job but I was going to buy the single and sync each carb with one. Is that possible?

gl_s_r, did make some of those brass choke nuts, I don't know if it was a one off, but you could always ask. Here's the link showing them (8th post down):-

For carb balancing I use one of these:-

While carbs are off fit vacuum hoses to each inlet point. Use rear to connect to fuel tap, front blanked off, or connect together with a t piece.Make long enough to be accessible and you can balance carbs whenever you like hassle free!!

I don't have any machined up at the moment but I can take a set from the spare choke cable and carbs I have set up doing nothing at this moment.

I will PM you and give you a email address you can reach me on and we'll sort out getting them to you if you still want them?

Mark
Why ask... sometime you just go to do it and find out?
