Yep flat out everywhere lost sight of them, now I'm hoping they don't know something I don't.slower bike must be the answer more fun maybe in the twisties .
Should have given me a bell mate, I would have come for a ride.
I spent most of the afternoon outside cleaning and polishing my bike, and I heard a V twin go through the village a couple of times. Sounded like yours.
I really don't think a slower bike is the answer to your problems though mate, a lot of 600s have more top end power than the storm anyway, and the ones that don't will still be capable of well over the lose your licence speeds. If you have a slower bike, you will just ride it harder.
As I said in my other post, something comfy at slower speeds might help, but I really think the answer is a different way of thinking.
When I drive or ride I am constantly on the lookout for police cars and speed checks. If I spot a van, marked or not at the side of the road that **might** just be a police van, I slow down anyway until I am sure. If I am doing silly speeds through the moors then I have a good look round up in the air every now and again to check for helicopters. When I overtake cars, I try to glance at the driver to see if they're wearing a uniform. Even if they're not, if I see them speed up to try and and catch up, I slow right down. Yes they are probably just trying to race me, and not police, but I just don't take the chance.
You have to expect the police to be there watching all the time, they could be just round the next corner or could be behind you in that car you have just overtaken. When you're constantly on the lookout for them and expecting to see them, it's not so much of a surprise when you do.
