Fri started well with the supertanker loaded up and ready to go.....

I did have a bit of trepidation as I have had a bit of a run of bad luck with the bike lately.
I figured between the shock and the wheel bearing I was at 2 and even though I don't consider myself superstitious thess things do tend to run in 3's so I had to wonder if something was coming.
I really didn't have too long to wait..... I was going up the coast or Hwy 1 and in sections it is one way traffic, so the have stop lights set up.
I roll up to one of these and staying over by the shoulder, to keep from getting ass packed by a car, come to a stop.....and didn't see the big assed hole right where I tried to put my foot.....

So I ended up dropping the bike..... All in all it could have been much worse but after a few choice words, had a nice lad help me pick her back up (though he did manage to break my taillight) and found the damage was the right mirror, the brake lever, cracked the fairing and the one that really pissed me off.... dented the link pipe. Then later I realized that while picking the bike up I burned a hole in my new textile pants...... damn
No pics then but here is one from the next day:

After getting rolling again, made it the rest of the way with no issues.
Sat morning got together with some of my old riding group ( I lived in the Bay Area for 18yrs up until about a year and a half ago) to run my all time favorite loop, Mt Hamilton - San Antonio Valley - Del Puerto Cyn then luch in Patterson. Back up Del Puerto - Mines

It's one of those bumpy, twisty , dirty fun roads that is just perfect for a twin......
Sun morning was a run up to Alice's in the Santa Cruz Mts, It is a big meet up spot. The main parking lot pics didn't come out but it spilles out to the other side of the road also:

After turning down an invite to ride with the fast group....... last thing I need to to worry about throwing the bike down and not being able to get home.... I did a solo ride through the Redwood forests..... It is so nice out there. I did get one pic.... if any of you played Road Rash you might remember this place:

Then all too soon it was time to make the run home....... Took the "quick way" home, so nothing but a 6 hr drone on the Motorway to report there.
So all in all a good weekend and I can only hope I don't have anymore bike issues for a while.
