Yep that looks like it's written off to me. The main thing is that your only battered and bruised and not in the same way as the bike :eek2 :eek2

sh1t mate, what happened? Hope you're ok.

If the insurance get involved, that's a definite write off with the frame lug breaking off. But don't worry it's a really easy fix if you buy it back. Just get a mobile welder to come and weld it back on, it'll cost between £30 and £50.

The fairings look no worse than mine were after my off, in the end it cost about £300 to have the plastic welded with metal mesh to strengthen and respray the whole lot.

There were 2 lanes and he turned straight in front of me and I had nowhere to go, My left hand side is battered (ribs & arm mainly) as it impacted on his rear door as bike went under.

Nothing broken but pretty beat up. Police have CCTV and are doing him for undue care and attention.
Bike was on eBay and had a potential buyer before this, but deffo write off, may buy it back and sell as spares, so watch this space

Sorry to see that Duffy...

Another one bites the dust, deff write off due to frame lug, same as mine. If you are thinking of repairing it don't go through insurance as it will be a cat B & therefore not allowed back on the road.

Still not got mine sorted out with the robbing bastids...yet another call to make.

Thanks Guys, yep Mac I think it is a write off, they said I may be able to buy back but tbh I wont put it on the road as have Blue one and Streetfighter project.

May have it to break as it has a good engine and forks but depends what they want for it and if it is worth the agro. also may be usefull to forum members as could be put in another frame as a cheap fix for someone.

I would check those forks are OK first. With an impact like that I doubt they are straight, you need to roll the Stanchions along a flat surface to fine any imperfections.

Cheers Carl, visually they look ok and bike slid under car and fairing bracket took most of the impact hence the frame lug snapping, but well worth checking, had not long painted them satin black too

Yep my forks were bent...ever so slightly but bent they were, also it's highly likely that the bottom yoke is twisted they are made from the same stuff as the inspection caps I think...
