Kev, its going to be a tough decision to keep or sell due to the emotional links. but I wouldnt sell it, its fun to ride small bikes for that era and us old boys need at least 1 in our garage

One of only about 25 of this spec to be officially imported in 1986. Probably the best most original one in the uk. When I can get £3000 for it i'll sell it then put that money to another one of them I've had since I was 18, it's very modified inc a 1230 GSX engine, I need to finish it, it's been too long.

My brothers got the same bike but with the original 750 engine. Hasn't got the pop up fairing fitted at the moment though. When he bought it last year the headlight gears were seized and the bodywork was in bad condition. Looks good at the moment but just has a RD 125 head light with custom brackets.

I have to admit bikes from the late 70's and 80's never interested me, I thought they were horrible ugly things, but as I get older I find myself liking them, its good to see these bikes being restored and loved.....

@ Z28DUNC
That one is 100% original including the 750 engine, I have another one with a big engine.

The popup headlights usually stop working due to the control box, they are pretty much unobtainable, but I know where there's some, let me know if you need one

Strange thing is the Katana's styling was way ahead of anything around at the time. It now looks bang up to date! Most modern bikes are all angles & sharp corners a lot of them are quite blerrggg IMO.

Loved the Katana & the 750 is the bizz !

Sadly the closest I ever got to owning one is this...
