Post by oorwullie43 »

Hi all again, things are getting there. New back rubber, new chain and sprockets. Went to check front tyre pressure and the valve came off in my hand!! So new bendy valve fitted. I,m lookin for some bar ends and fittings, has any body got any advice on this subject? 8)

the std Hoda clipons should have a vibration damper weight fitted inside them and the bar end then bolts to that.

if you already have the inner weight and only want the weights then I have some in my shed. either std ones in black [with a bit of paint missing where the metal studs on the palm of my old gloves has scratched them] or some heavier aftermarket ones in a gunmetal dark chrome finish [no marks on these]

Aye, need the hole lot, don,t know what's been done but both ends were missing. I managed to get the remains of the weight out of the left hand side. So I'm starting from scratch. Was thinking of doing the bar conversion as the top yoke came with all the bits but think it would feel much better with the proper weighted bars.

If you need it I have one of the internal weights.

Only one mind, for some reason the Yellow peril Storm I bought only had one, & that was shoved down the bar so some ghastly chrome after market bar ends could be fitted.

Oh yeah I have a pair of chrome after market bar ends as well, bit of surface rust, but that'll clean up...

Thanks for the offers, I need all the bits as the inner I got out is knackerd! If I can mix and match you guys, that sounds bad! :) I would still be one inner short. But there is a site I could get one from, if needs be. How many pennies are you guys talking about for your bits?

I don't think you can throw into the clouds. Or are you just aiming for raindrops that have fallen

No apparently there's a clause in the small print forbidding this...However how they work out what's rubbish & what's not is a mystery...

Post up some pics of your bike, throw a few questions out there, ask for help on something...Someone will post a reply, banter will follow & you'll soon be above 50 posts. Give it a week or so...
