Lloydie's track vtr (miss piggy)
As I've been collecting parts over the last few years now I nearly have enough to build a 2nd bike :-)
Tho this one will be a track day only bike and built from spares I have .
It won't be pretty hence the name miss piggy lol unless I get addicted to it then all the goodies will be put on it and the name will have to change .
My plan for it to begin with is to run a slightly tuned engine in it ie
Hi lift cams/ high comp pistons / a bit of porting and a lightened flywheel also a lidless airbox and my 2-1 exhaust with a titanium can this time :-).
It will only have what's needed fitted to it (less to damage when I fall off it)
I still need body work and wheels and forks but as I hope to fit 08 blade parts to kermit I will have the other for this one or I just may pick up a cheap storms front end I'm still undecided on that one .
This build is going to be a long one for sure a year or two maybe three as when I upgrade the parts on kermit the old ones will be going on this one .so don't expect often updates bit I will try to keep it moving along
So to start off with I started a braced swing arm (thanks Seb for the bits ) I removed the brace from the blade swinger and the calliper slider and also the end bit where the chain adjuster go .
This is where it's at now
I need to get a calliper bracket and a rear spindle then it can go off to the welders in a month .
I'm having bobbins on this one to make it easier when I'm on me own as it won't have a side stand .

A side note... For track use, when I'm on my own, I use a cheapo wheel-chock mounted to a length of tube along the ground for stability... Just roll the front wheel in and get off...
Then you can use abba/front+rear stands of your choice, since you have your hands free... Doesn't mean you shouldn't put spools though...

Re: Lloydie's track vtr (miss piggy)
thanks jamie .
i have a little less bling in mind for the body work .
i have a damaged seat unit and a damaged side fairing already that ive been saving .
im not sure if im going with the full fairing i might just use the sides as rad covers .
and maybe a vfr tank !

Squeal like piggy.
No point in putting a VFR tank on a track bike. You want smaller not more. Unless you thinking of that for Kemit.

Re: Lloydie's track vtr (miss piggy)
good luck with the build matey......
i might have damaged clocks you can have, its pretty much intact, but iirc it doesn't have a working speedo, and you don't need that for a trackbike.
i'd suggest knocking up a light weight rear subframe, you'd be surpised how much weight you'd save. i also have a damaged rhs fairing if you want it, its in very good condition apart from a extra chunks been taken out around the indicator hole, but seen as you'd be blocking them in anyways....
i'd go for rattle can matte or satin black, with gold wheels, also rattle can jobbies to keep the costs down.....
hell i might even have a spare rear spindle knocking around.
