AA / RAC / GREEN FLAG Recovery ?

Post by lanny »

Can anyone recommend which bike recovery company to use ?
I basically need breakdown and recovery to home just to be on the safe side, I have been quoted £62 for RAC but wonder if any of you have experienced better?

whoever you get make sure they don't have distance clause on it. mine was 15 miles iirc I broke down about 24 miles away and they wanted 40 odd quid for the extra 9 miles ! !

Been with the AA for the last 15 years, never had no problems with them. Every year I tell AA that I've found cheaper cover, and they always match or better it.

The AA covers you the driver/rider

So my AA covers me for driving my cars, bike and van, as well as any other vehicle I am in

The rest cover the vehicle, and charge an excess to cover you the driver

AA for me, had pretty good service when I needed them. Longest recovery was Cornwall to nr. Hull. I always ring them to reduce price on renewal

With the AA the person is inured and not the vehicle ... so running
2 cars and my bike is ok ... called them out seldom but whenever I do service is
top draw... no doubt RAC snd GF are just as good,,, down to yourself Sir
