Moved the snot rocket out the garage .
Then emptied the garage as it needed a clear out as it was getting full .
I filled my car up with things that I saved as they might come in handy !! Ready for the tip tomorrow .
I've got use of 2/3 of it now :-)
Now I have the room for the winter strip down again

Today I flushed the coolant system. So I fills up the rads with water & a bottle of flushing stuff, put some fuel in pressed the starter...Turned over fine wouldn't catch at all...Hmmm. So starting with the simple things...lift tank to check hoses & thought I wonder if the taps switched off, turned it round the other way lowered tank...Pressed starter...BRRRRMMM...
Run it up to temp making sure the fan kicked in...another
but noticed that one of the plastic supports on the fan was broken...
So let it cool, emptied the flush out washed it through with clean H2O whipped off the rad & changed the fan over with a spare, boxed it back up filled with fresh coolant, run it up to temp again, no leaks, fan works fine...

My fans never cut in, but then it's never overheated either.
SHould it come on if left to tickover? My temp gauge gets to about half way and it just stabilises, rads are both hot, but not overheated. Is there a normal fault for fan not working?

The fan should cut in about just after the half way mark. Just so your aware, there an electrical block connector on the front right rad which is the power for the fan. If removing and putting the fairings back on you have to be careful not to knock this plug.My fans never cut in, but then it's never overheated either.

Cap 9 with a speccy module for me, cheapest way to get a good multi channel set at the time but keep the spectrum rx's. I have a bunch of foamies too and didn't want to pay £60 for a rx for each one!

To test your fan works just remove the single pin wire from the sensor on the back of the right hand side rad infront of your knee. If you short that to ground with the ignition on,the fan should come on. If it doesn't check the fuse in the black box just behind the battery.
