Real H&S risk I mean as if no helmet was bad enough those heels would brake my ankles. (If they came in a size 14)

Great.... I'm starting to learn to get my knee down and all I am going to have going through my head now while going round a bend is a constant replay of that video

Cheers Carl :eek2

Well the vid is nice and all but I do a couple things different (so yes I do believe the vid is wrong)

First the outside foot position. It should not be on the toe, like the vid, but you should use the heel of your boot to "hook" the footpeg this keeps you from sliding forward when braking..... it also turns your body a bit making it easier to get your knee out.
That is the reason most racing boots have heels on them instead of flat soles.....

Second the whole dropping the shoulder bit.....way to hard to teach IMHO. The easy way to get your upper body into the proper position in to drop your inside elbow.
This naturally puts your upper body into the proper position.

Next time you watch some top tier racing look for these things and you will see both being used.

Point well taken but even if I did reposition my foot so I could hook my heal more I still don't think I could do it like that

I just don't have the cleavage for it
