Decisions decisions hmmm

Post by VenerableArc »

Currently watching a set of CBR clocks on flea bay as want to swap my originals. However, I have found these.....

http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewit ... 1266061445

Has anyone used these? Can someone provide some feedback?

Thanks in advance

Matt

I'm a bit of a cynic, whats wrong with what you already have? It works & is proven. If you want to upgrade the go with something made by Honda or the VTR 2002> cluster set which will need several upgrades to make it work.

Oh nothings wrong with it. I'm one who like to tinker and I want to make it mine. If that makes sense. If I can make it as unique as possible I'll give it a go.

On a different note. You're not far from me, you doing hogging the bridge this year?

Personally I want to keep an OEM look about my dash, so have opted for CBR1000 clocks, yet to be fitted. I can see why people prefer to go for the aftermarket stuff as they both have their pro and cons. It all comes down to ones individual taste at the end of the day and ones competence level at fitting.

Awesome. I'm hoping to get all my major work done in time for that. If not I will watch from the sidelines :Beer Popcorn:

I am free yes! Is this operation storm? It really depends on how much spraying I get done this week. As long as I am in a position to put the fairings back on then I'm up for it

Like the sound of white dials Lloydie  isn't it as simple as fiddling with a design on a PC and printing it onto a white bit of cardboard then fitting it?

I may have a play with this and see what I come up with :D

Not so simple you will need to remove the old dial and needle as the current dial is black and don't let enough light through and putting another layer on top will make it imposable to see at night .
You could print it on paper then stick it to a bit of clear plastic to keep the shape and oem look tho white .
Also you will need a spare rev counter needle or paint it red

I meant the design and making of the replacement part being simple. The fitting is a different story. I know what you mean about difficult to see at night. Though I very rarely go out in the dark. Unless my bat sign is activated

I find the speedo hard to read as I'm blind as a bat hence me wanting to change to a digital one.

I will still have a play with a design and what not and see if I can pick up a spareset of clocks for cheap.
