where to buy cam chain tensioners from ?

Post by saint gaz »

hi guys

getting a strange noise at 3000rpm, so after reading other posts it could be my cct's. its a 2002 with 6500m on the clock is it to early for it to be cct, or am I am getting paranoid after reading all the cct posts

I'm going to order some asap but only searched on ebay so far, is there any where you would recommend?

cheers

CCT's are either working fine, or not working, as in blown engine... Very, very rarely do they make a discernible noise in time for you to notice before the engine becomes a basket case...

Swapping them for peace of mind is one thing, but look for the noise elsewhere...

Hi Gaz,

Bought mine from Bazza on here. They are modified originals so look completely OEM. Good price too. follow the guide in the workshop section on how to fit. Doesn't take too long

might need to have a trip to a garage then, wouldn't know where to start looking.

but on the other hand at least its not the cct :D just paranoid then

If you have standard CCT's in it is still worth changing them. Regardless of mileage they can go at any time !

Post up a cry for help for someone local to have a listen to you bike re the noise for you. They wont charge you, a garage will !

As you can't send PM's yet I will PM Bazza for you & let him know you need a set of manuals. He may not get back to you until early next week as he is currently drunk at a camp site somewhere in Wales...

Bazza takes std ones & modify's them, normaly has a set or 3 in stock as he asks for the std ones removed to be sent to him.

If you ask him very nicely he might even polish them for you.

I have dropped him a PM to let him know your looking for a set.
