At the end of the street there's a lovely road called forty foot bank,it runs from chatteris through ramsey then onto peterborough,it has nice flowing corners, tight twisties and a fecking great dyke on the left hand side with no barriers to stop you going for a swim if you get it wrong...Oh...the road cambers to the left too..i do have a couple of negatives living here in chatteris tho...1,it's smack in the middle of the police pursuit training area
and 2,i live on an astate where 99% of the houses are owned by policeman...luckily i'm moving again soon

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
All this talk of massive ferking dykes just made me chuckle
My mate had an SP1 back when they were newish and jumped a fat ferker of a dyke and into a farmers field, by accident of course! (Racing a 98' R1 to the end of a mile straight)

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Washed and polished it followed by a coat of Finns than a hydra wax and ready for the full strip down

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
stripped ready to fit new chain and sprockets..........my last chain is only 1.5yrs old but has got tight spots and sticking links, and it looks like the o-rings are dry and there is orange fretting dust coming out
looks like my chain oiler is not getting enough lube out to the side plates to keep the x-rings happy and althought the rollers are lubed the pins are failing...............will have to modify my maintenence back to some added spray or brush lubing as well as the loobman oiler

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
there is no physical reason why loobman shouldnt perform the same as Scott oiler, but either I am not applying it often enough, or it is not thin enough oil to flow out to the side plates. there is enough oil being thrown off and flowing down the side stand, so it is getting some oil!!!!!!!! and given that I press the button ever 30 miles or so, I would have worried that I was over oiling!BigVeeGrin wrote: interesting about the Loobman Al, was going to get one once upon a time

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
i washed my bike yesterday and then applied a fair bit of wd40....
i must get some more bilt hamber products.
its just sinking in that i've only got another 11 days of riding left this year....
then i'll be concentrating on the spondon build....again
atm i'm contemplating a little reworking of my nans garden/shed, it would be nice to have some shelter thru winter, it doesn't seem like a year since i stripped the spondon bike down.....
