Well after thinking long and hard about what to do with the bike... I still don't have a clue
Going through my finances Iv'e realised i'm not quite as skint as I first thought so gonna keep the bike around a little while rather than making any rush decisions. I can't walk around work all day, looking at the bike without doing something to it so started having a tinker over the weekend. Did multiple oil changes and cleared out the coffee from the engine. Bypassed the damaged radiator and flushed out water system. Have now run her up to temp several times, oil still looks ok. Have on occasion had to top water up but it's very little... 100 ml at most now and then so not 100% sure what is going on. Spoke to local radiator repair company.. looking that there's a fair chance of having the damaged top bar of the rad cut out and blanked. I wasn't thinking about buying a replacement rad but could be tempted to pay for just a repair.
Also.. after curiosity got the better of me, I phoned my insurance company and got a quote for the bike.. I can add it too my current policy for the storm.. I was shocked... it's buttons, £7.50/month
So started thinking, just thinking ... if I can get rad repaired I could run the bike for a MOT, if it passes add to insurance and run her about a bit.. would have the novelty of popping about on a sp1 plus would give me a far better chance to work out if the bike is ok or not. Also the MOT isnt going to harm resale if i do decide to sell on rather than strip.
In a way I wish I hadn't bought the bike though.. it's doing nothing but distract me from everything else.. mind is in overdrive on what to do with bike or how to fix certain bits of bike

even had an idea pop into my head of a way i may be able to salvage the petrol tank.. it's got a huge hit to the right side which is strange seeing that all other damage is on the left.. but the only tanks iv'e seen since getting bike have been £250+ so if I can pull off a repair then I think I would crack on with straightening her up. We'll see.....
