Dunlop Q3s

Post by 8541Hawk »

Finally got a chance to take the new Q3s out and twist the throttle with a bit of anger this last weekend

About all I can say is they are some amazing rubber

Yes I am a Dunlop guy but they have disappointed in the past....like the 208s....hated them but anyways coming off of the Q2s I was ready to be disappointed as they were an excellent tire.

To my happy surprise the Q3s are everything the Q2s were and more.

The rear profile doesn't seen to be quite as tall as the Q2s but the turn in "feels" to be very close to the same.

The biggest difference that I noticed was under hard braking. The Q2s would "squirm" just a little bit...nothing bad and it was easy to deal with...well the Q3s have none of that.
No matter what I did the front tire was planted and stable.... So I would have to say the carbon in the sidewalls actually does work.

I went the whole day without a single slip or slide. These were tight, dirty roads at a decent pace so yes I was very impressed.

The only thing left to find out is how long they last.

To sum things up, the Q3s, are for me, the best street tire I have ever run.

Sounds great Hawk
I know a few guys on the SP forum really rate them too. No one talks about mileage or how long they last though
I guess when you are looking for performance something has to give
Keep it sticky side down
