Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Got my discs back from Motoliner. They had to be sent back because they returned bent at first, but they were very apologetic, and seem to be spot on, they even put in a £20 note to cover my postage back to them which was a nice touch. MOT tomorrow so we'll find out for sure, but they look perfect and brake feels fine at slow speed.
Budget storm gradually on the road to spangliness.

Oil and filter change today just needs a good clean ready for Saturday night
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Finally got my bike working this evening
robbed some terminals from work. Got back and made sure they fitted the reg/rec. Sods law....... 2 of them didn't. Needed bigger ones. So after a quick trip to halfords I set to cutting the wires and got the new reg/rec fitted
started it up, made a right racket, check to see if she was charging and she was
JD! Now I am about to go and see how much better the headlight is not it is dark. Unfortunately I am not going out on the bike, just going and turning the headlight on in the garden
Edit: just been to check the head light. Certainly looks brighter but until I get out on the road in the dark I won't know how much different it is. 2 quick questions regarding it though. First... What rampage would you expect to see coming from the standard headlight plug? Used 13amp wire (I believe) for that. And what is the max power bulb I could now fit to the bike with what amp fuse?

He's just collecting stuff for his giant parts bin, so when he holds a workshop day we all have something to raid.

Quick.....now's you chance Lloyd.
Well today I finally got around to changing my chain and sprockets. I'm not entirely happy with the chain. It's standard length and standard sprockets, 102 links on chain, but after adjustment it's already up to two and a half of the scribed lines on the adjusters. It will do for now but when it gets to the point of max adjustment I think I will just remove some links.

Put a 43 tooth sprocket on it, it will move the wheel a bit more forwards too.cybercarl wrote:Quick.....now's you chance Lloyd.![]()

missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
You know what...I may just end up doing that. It's lot more easier to swap sprockets than remove links.
Right must add speedo heeler to my shopping list.
