4D vinyl wrap

having dabbled with carbon wrap in the past with varied success. I was made aware of a new product....4D vinyl wrap.
so I purchased some to have a look and see what all the fuss was about.
the older style 3D wrap has a matt finish where as the new stuff has a more realistic gloss finish.
heres a couple of pics to show the difference.

it arrived very quickly and it was easy enough to use, personally I think its visually a big improvement over the older 3D stuff.
i'd love to see an entire bike professionally wrapped in the stuff.....

try contacting him to find out how much he used, its very difficult to do tho. but its the best looking carbon wrap yet...

Not trying to be funny, but it looks a lot of effort. And under some of the lighting conditions and angles (very rear of the bike, around the 'HONDA' on the tank) it just looks like a matte black job.. I'm not entirely sure if it would be worth it in honesty

Hmm, I think that would look sweet with black or polished frame/swingarm/forks & gloss black 6 spoke wheels.

I wouldn't attempt it myself, that's exactly the kind of work which I screw up and get frustrated with!

The real stuff looks so much better. It a little bit too much Essex for my liking in large scales. Maybe you can add some plastic gems to it.

IMHO both thed 3D and 4D wraps are not that close looks-wise to real carbon fibre

If you look at it as though it's like that paint-protecting film it makes sense, though.

After ten years when you come to sell it you take it off and your paint looks brand new, (except it's covered in glue).

Then once you get the glue off every buyer just assumes that you've been racing it, with track-day bodywork on.....

think it looks good, going to try some of that with my bike build.

ill leave out the plastic gems tho
