Very true but wouldn't you also agree that when someone recommends a set up that they might be asked why it is a good change?

For example, if I decided to run 150 main jets in my bike, that is my business.

If I post up saying, Hey you should run 150 main jets, shouldn't I also be prepared to show why it is a good thing?

Would you accept the statement if my reply was "Well it feels better"? Even if the math (in this case Dyno Charts) showed that there was no gains to be had and losses in places, as long as I also say "I don't care what the facts or figures say.... it just feels better?"

That is the point I am trying to make...run whatever makes you happy.
Post up that someone else should run it and IMHO you should have a reason why the change should be made.
Loud pipes don't save lives, knowing how to ride your bike will save your life.

I see where your coming from but one does not need to give a reason If they do not wish to, we can post whatever we like and it feels good or whatever could be considered a reason. It's down to whoever is reading the post if they want to believe it or not or if they want to try it and use any info given out as they wish.

At the end of the day we are just a forum of people that share a common interest and all have our opinions and ways of going about things. How valid, true, factual or helpful a post is can come down to many things. For example who the member is, their post count, how long they have been a member for, how they have helped in the past, the way they write and explain things etc etc. Hell... just because a fair few people have gone with 15/43 could be valid enough reason to try it whether it's logical or not.

The way I see it is that any post is participating and interacting with the group. Some give technical info, some give info on previous experience, some take the piss, some have a laugh and a wind up. It's all contributing and keeping the forum alive.
